Red Wine Steak

Steak in edler Rotwein-Marinade.

Marinate: 30 Minutes or 6 Hours
Grill: 8 Minutes

Low Fat

 

2 beef T-bone steaks, cut 1 inch thick; 2 beef top loin steaks, cut 1 inch thick
1/2 cup dry red wine
1/3 cup chopped onion (1 small)
2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
1 1/2 teaspoons snipped fresh thyme, rosemary, or majoram, or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, rosemary, or majoram, crushed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1 clove garlic, minced

 

1. Trim fat from meat. Place meat in a plastic bag set i na shallow dish. for marinade, stir together wine; onion; oil; thyme; rosemary; or majoram; salt; pepper and garlic. Pour over meat. close bag. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes or in the refrigerator for up to 6 hours, turning bag occasionally

2. Drain steaks, reserving marinade. Grill steaks on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals to desired doneness, turning once and brushing once with reserved marinade halfway through. Discard any remaining marinade. To serve, cut staeks into serving-size pieces. Makes 4 servings.
